We are the "controller" of the personal data described below, meaning we decide why and how it is processed.
2. What data we collect
- Contact data you give us — when you use our contact form or email/call us: your name, email address, phone number (if provided) and the content of your message.
- Technical data — standard server logs your hosting provider keeps (IP address, browser type, time of visit) for security and to keep the site running.
- Consent records — your cookie/consent choice, stored on your own device.
We do not knowingly collect data from children, and we do not collect special-category data through this website.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To answer your enquiry and provide quotes — legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
- To keep the website secure and working — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- For optional analytics, only if you consent — consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). The site currently uses no analytics or advertising cookies.
4. How long we keep it
Enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards (typically up to 24 months) unless we enter a contract, in which case the relevant data is kept for the period required by Bulgarian accounting and tax law. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We may share it with trusted service providers acting on our behalf (for example, our website host and email provider). Where any provider is outside the EU/EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place.
6. Your rights

SmartMenu's website is built to be privacy-friendly. We currently use only what is strictly necessary:

We do not currently use advertising cookies, third-party tracking, or analytics that profile you. The interactive demos on this site (the smart-home room, the menu ordering demo, the 3D-print simulator) run entirely in your browser and store nothing about you.

If in future we add analytics to understand how the site is used, those cookies will only be set after you accept them. Choosing "Essential only" keeps them off. Under the EU ePrivacy rules and GDPR, non-essential cookies are never set without your consent.
